They're kind of like cysts, zits or black heads under the skin of the ear lobe. Sometimes they just lay dormant for months and months at a time but occasionally they inflame and my ear lobes get huge. I've tried a variety of self surgery (ear piercing) and other acne treatments but nothing seems to get rid of them entirely.
