Sig p365 problems.

Got my P365 to the range for 2nd time today (Born on April 11 - XRay sights, smoothed barrel to avoid peening, etc). Unfortunately, I am also having failure to extract. Shot a mix of Blazer Brass 115 and Federal HST. Field stripped when I first got it home everything seemed tight and didn't make any noise. Stripped factory grease from it and now there is a small rattle from the FCU/ right hand side of FCU when looking down the frame. 1) shoot it with a different magazine. 2) shoot it both strong and weak hand only and. 3) have someone else shoot it. If the problem isolates to a magazine, pull it apart and check for mag spring length, to a known good one. Toss out any mag springs which do not measure up.

Ordered a couple 12 rounders from Osage county, in the meantime I picked up a 12 rounder at a gun store. It was about as hard to load 12 round, like the 10 rounders were.The P365 is, of course, SIG’s newest subcompact that crams 10+1 rounds of 9mm into a chassis the size of a single stack pistol – and with an excellent trigger to boot. The actual shape of the bullet nose at the opening can be picky, tho. One will never have an issue, another might. I have the normal P365 in 9mm and the P365 X Macro in 9mm. The magazines are tight, but I'm able to load them. My Ruger LCP Max in .380 is very hard to load, but doable. I don't use loaders on these. The micro-compact double stack mags are just generally difficult to load.

I get a misfire every 4th or 5th round or random. I sent it back to sig twice. they replaced trigger mechanism and trigger bar and its still having same issue.Overall, the P365 ran great. I can't believe how soft it shoots. I did have some mag problems. I had some failures to feed with the Winchester Train 147gr fmj. The round stuck in the mag and did not reach the feed ramp. A single pull on the slide made the round feed normally. This is why I always suggest hot ammo (like Fiocchi) for ball/range ammo no matter the caliber. I don't think a hot .380 round would fix the issue that OP is having. The problem is that P365 action is not very smooth to begin with. The new striker will have a stronger, beveled tip on it and should last you many thousands of rounds.
